Spinach baby food

spinach baby food
Spinach and minced meat porridge

This spinach baby food contains a lot of vitamin K which the body needs to process certain kinds of proteins. Spinach is also rich of iron and fibers, making it a perfect addition to every baby's diet. The pork meat provides your baby with proteins and fat while the porridge's rice contains a lot of energy.

age: above 8 months

Ingredients:

- 3-4 tablespoons /50g of Rice. My recommendation: Jasmine Rice from Rice Select. It is very delicious and can be used for a broad variety of dishes.

- water about 1.5 cups / 400 ml (depending on the type of rice you are using, some rice needs more water and some needs less)

- minced pork or beef or a mixture of both meat 2 tablespoons / 30g

- spinach 2 tablespoons / 30g chopped into small pieces

- Some drops of La Tourangelle Sesame Oil. Check out Amazon to see what others write about this fantastic Asian Oil.

How to cook:

1. Cook rice by adding it into water. You can either use a pot or a rice cooker. The latter have slow cooking or porridge options to cook rice.If you use a pot use low heat and make sure it is covered.

2. Add the minced pork meat after the rice has been cooked for about 20-30 minutes, stir to make it mixed evenly with the rice.

Chopped spinach

3. when the porridge is ready, add spinach, cook on low heat and then stir constantly for about 5 minuted until the spinach is soft enough

4. Add 2-3 drops of toasted sesame oil(optional)
